To contribute to a universal, equitable, and sustainable healthcare system in which digital technologies and artificial intelligence are used responsibly by citizens and health professionals to support predictive, preventive, personalized, and participatory medicine.
MISSION
To produce scientific evidence, methodologies, and prototype solutions for the development, evaluation, validation, and responsible transfer of digital technologies and AI systems for health, healthcare, prevention, and wellbeing promotion.
DISTINCTIVE APPROACH
The Center adopts a human-centered and evidence-based model: solutions must be designed from real needs, developed with users and stakeholders, validated in meaningful contexts of use, continuously monitorable, and subject to effective human oversight. Design therefore concerns not only the algorithm or the application, but the entire socio-technical system in which data, models, professionals, patients, processes, and responsibilities interact.
